Summary

Collaborative Research and Development (R&D) is designed to assist the industrial and research communities to work together on R&D projects from which successful new products, processes and services can emerge. The competitions allow business and HEI’s to undertake collaborative pre-competitive research and development of enabling technologies and large-scale demonstrator projects for innovative products, processes or services.

Funding

Projects range in value from £10,000 to over £100,000,000 and typically the Grant provides 50% of the project costs. The remaining project costs will need to be covered by the applicant, but cannot include other forms of UK Government funding.

Funding of Collaborative R&D projects is allocated on the basis of regular competitions. Open competitions can be found by selecting the Read More button.
