Funded by Lancashire County Council’s economic development company, Future Horizons Apprentice @ Your Business provides support to small to medium enterprises (SME’s) or Social Enterprises within Lancashire in recruiting Apprentices. Working with a Recruitment Officer from the HR Consultancy department, the team aims to match business requirements with the career aspirations of a young person and provide links to a specialist training provider from a specified sector. A young person aged 16 – 18 will be mentored throughout their apprenticeship and business support will be provided as required.
There is up to £3,000 incentive payments (paid in instalments over the duration of the apprenticeship) and free membership to your local Chamber of Commerce (not applicable to existing members).
Upon initial enquiry, a meeting will be arranged to determine suitability. Successful companies will be allowed to shortlist prospective apprentices and obtain a trial 8 week work placement. If the arrangement works, a 2 year apprenticeship will commence.
