Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF)

Coverage: Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Burnley, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Pennine Lancashire, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Wyre,

Finance Type: Energy Efficiency, Environmental, Renewable Technologies,

A new fund to support community action on energy efficiency and renewable energy, through grant funding that can cover:

• Energy surveys of buildings
• Energy saving measures
• Demonstration projects
• Energy education/workshops
• Reports on what needs to be done on the area

The maximum grant available is £130,000, with average awards expected to be around £50,000. Projects should be led by community benefit companies or community groups, but can be delivered on their behalf by third parties. 

The applications will be accepted in 2 Phases –  

• Phase 1 must be submitted online by 12 noon on 22^nd of December 2011
• Phase 2 must be submitted online by 12 noon on 20^th of January 2012
  Applicants can submit on either date.
