Category: New Business Start Up

Issue

Charter House is quickly becoming a valued part of the local community providing care for local school children and adults alike with learning difficulties and any number of health issues.

Charter House had been aware of Regenerate and the business start‐up support available.  Their business premises was in dire need of renovation, now after the investment of much time and finances, the premises was made fit for purpose and is now an excellent learning environment.

Regenerate’s Role

Regenerate’s Enterprise and Employment team ensured that Jason and business partner Carolyn received the business support they needed when starting up. They benefitted from help putting together a business plan, and one to one support from their assigned business advisor, who put together their application for grant support to the value of £1000, which was used for business insurances and marketing materials.

“Regenerate Pennine Lancashire provided us with good advice and continue to support our growth, we look forward to working with them over our crucial first year in business” Jason Smith – Owner of Charter House Sensory Rooms and Activity Centre

Impact

  •  4 Jobs (with further capacity to increase to 7 within 6 months)

  • £40,000 Private Sector Investment (with a further £10,000 over the first six months of trading)

Further Support

Charter House now envisage fast growth over the coming months and are looking for further support from their business advisor to aid with their future marketing plan. Regenerate are now also assisting Charter House to access business loan assistance through Rosebud to help support them through this critical period of growth. A consultation process has also been initiated by the Enterprise and Employment team for support from the Lancashire Innovation Network.
