Business Overview:

DeaCom Limited was established in 1999 by Chris Deaville to provide contracting facilities to the telecommunications industry.

Over the years DeaCom has developed a wide range of contracting and project management services for the industry including line of sight surveys; repairs and upgrades to cellular network transmitters; and testing of microwave connections at live events.

They have built a good name within the industry for providing efficient and cost effective services to their customers which is reflected in their preferred supplier status with the mobile phone service company Cornerstone, a joint venture between O2 and Vodafone.

Encouraged by Cornerstone the directors have identified opportunities to grow the company significantly over the next 3 years.

Issue:

The directors recognised that to achieve this growth they needed to strengthen their existing systems for management and control.

The directors researched the market to identify a suitable supplier for the development of their new management system, against their requirements of fit for purpose, ease of implementation, growth within the system and indicative costs.

ReuSurv were invited to submit a proposal covering system specification, costings and timescales.

ReSurv  used their Ingeneros system which was custom designed to suit the specific needs of Deacom Limited.

The system has these main components:

  • a public website providing product, service and company profile information,
  • a specially designed business management system  providing a wide range of integrated functions to in-house users
  • a specially designed collaboration zone where registered customers can easily access information about their contracts, maintenance schedules and products.

Regenerate’s role:

An outline specification for the new system was developed with the help and support of the Lancashire Innovation Network of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire (RPL) to include:

  • sales performance
  • order processing
  • resource scheduling
  • job costing
  • customer engagement
  • link to Sage accounting package
The company was provided with a grant of £5,000 to help the company finance the project.

Impact:

4 Jobs created,
£5,000 Private Sector Investment

Continued Support:

Regenerate continues to maintain close links with the company to enable them to realise their growth potential.
