The company was formed in 1974 by Alan Newton in premises close to the centre of Clitheroe. David, his son joined the company in 1987 after serving an apprenticeship in toolmaking at Lucas Aerospace, Burnley and is now Managing Director. The company became limited in 2003 and relocated to impressive new facilities in 2008 in the Link 59 Business Park.
Their main market is aerospace, producing tooling, jigs and fixtures and undertaking development work on first off components for mainly Rolls Royce, Unison and Callendar. The company enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of design and their production engineering capabilities.
The directors have been encouraged to move into batch production of highly specialised components and set up facilities to transfer work currently undertaken by their customers. To do this a growth strategy has been developed which includes:

The development is expected to create new business opportunities and increase the companies staffing levels.
