Issue:

Principal Construction is a construction firm focusing on new build projects, and refurbishment and extension of existing properties.

Natalie Sykes and her partner Roger Hines approached Regenerate in 2010 for advice on starting up their own construction business.  Natalie had worked as a Quantity Surveyor for around six years and Roger has over twelve years experience as a Stonemason. They decided to combine their skills and experience and set up their own business.

Regenerate’s role:

Regenerate provided access to specialist courses to help the business during the early stages of starting up and sourced finance for a scaffold tower. 

Impact:

- 4 Jobs Created, 1 Apprentice Recruited

- CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) Accreditation

- £9,000 Private Sector Investment

Continued Support:

Principal Construction has recently started to work alongside another new start business who were supported by Regenerate. This partnership working allows both businesses to offer a more comprehensive service to clients.
