“We hope to unlock the enterprising spirit in many people in Lancashire and work alongside our partners to provide new, exciting opportunities for local people". Dennis Mendoros, Chairman of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.
Regenerate Pennine Lancashire is an economic development company. We work to increase opportunities for people living and working in Pennine Lancashire. We also aim to attract others to work, live or visit in this area of the North West.
We work directly with local businesses to help them grow and compete on a national and international level, offering professional guidance, funding, commissioned services and hands on work. We support those who want to adopt new technology and bring new products to the market, and assist companies who want to expand their premises or relocate to our East Lancashire location.
Regenerate is unique in that we are owned by Lancashire County Council and the borough councils in Pennine Lancashire: Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle and Rossendale (please visit PLACE to learn more about this partnership). Our governing body is made up of the leaders from each of the councils and by a board mostly made up of the councils’ chief executives and representatives from the private sector, including our Chairman, Dennis Mendoros. By pooling resources and expertise, we can deliver projects across councils to achieve faster results, value for money and private sector investment in the area.
Our Lancashire Innovation Network services are available to businesses across Lancashire, including those in Preston, Lancaster and Blackpool.
Regenerate has assisted over 3,727 businesses, creating and securing over 5,500 local jobs. Due to our work, over £120m public and private sector funding has been attracted to Pennine Lancashire.
