Exciting times at Regenerate

Hello,

It has been a very exciting few weeks in the Regenerate office. We have received nominations for two awards and are working hard to develop a new service that will help hundreds of new businesses in Pennine Lancashire.

Start Up Britain Awards Nomination

Yesterday, I attended the Start Up Britain Awards in London on behalf of Regenerate, where we were on the shortlist for the Best Enterprise Support award for providing Enterprise Havens to small businesses and creating 1500 new business start-ups in Pennine Lancashire. We did not win, but were very pleased to have received enough recognition to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.

Local Government Chronicle Business Partnerships Awards

We have also been nominated in the LGC Business Partnership Awards, in the Partnership in “Other Services” category. The awards recognise and champion service providers who have worked in close partnership with a council or group of councils to deliver quality services. Regenerate are on the category shortlist with four others. Winners will be announced at the ceremony on the 7th December. We’ll be sure to let you know how we get on, fingers are crossed at Regenerate!

Pennine LEAP

We received even more good news this week, with the success of our application for European Regional Development Funding to launch a brand new enterprise initiative called Pennine LEAP. LEAP aims to help 300 start up businesses in Pennine Lancashire with high growth potential. We aim to launch this scheme in the new year and will let you know more about what business support is available closer to the time. Needless to say, this is big news for Regenerate and our Enterprise and Employment team is looking forward to meeting and assisting lots of new businesses.
