Sleeping Giants
The Original Sleep Company Ltd is a spin off business working in partnership with a well established Burnley based textile products manufacturer. The new business specialises in the distribution of filled bed linen e.g. duvets, pillows, mattress topers etc.
The management team recognised that competition in the manufacturing market has created downward pressure on profits, even though sales and demand remains high. The Original Sleep Company believed that developing a direct to customer multi-channel ecommerce business would allow them to plug the gap in contributions and grow the business quickly and profitably. Their aim was to compete with the growing online market, while also attaining large distribution contracts and serving the hospitality market directly using a quality and well targeted web presence.
